Senior ortho resident Dr. Bones falls for nerdy psych intern Dr. Siggy in the most highly anticipated Broadway musical this year: Med School Musical!
Hospital Woeisme, a high pressure, Level 1 trauma center, is the setting for the show. The main characters meet while volunteering at a 5K fundraiser for long-distance runners diagnosed with walking-corpse syndrome.
They work alongside each other all day, bonding over their shared dream of one day being free of student loan debt. Upon learning of the other’s specialty, they bravely vow not to let their different medical fields keep them apart.
Bones and Siggy soon face opponents that are vehemently against their mixed-specialty relationship. The chief ortho resident sabotages them by forcing Dr. Bones to answer every single ortho consult, and to spend all of his free time at the gym. And that’s not all. Jealous ex-sorority-girl-turned-Ob resident Dr. Gin has a secret crush on Dr. Bones. Dr. Gin joins forces with the chief ortho resident to help keep these star-crossed lovers apart.
Emmy Award nominee Ms. Mackenzie Hope and Academy Award winner Mr. Geoffrey Less have been cast as the leads. Ms. Hope gushed, “This is such a pivotal role in my career. I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to act in a show that has such a creative and original plot.”
Five-star reviews and rumors of multiple Tony nominations suggest that this will be a smashing Broadway success. Featuring the original hits, “Pimpin’ interns,” “Don’t leave me AMA,” and “The Step Three Tango,” Med School Musical is already slated to win several Grammys. Plans are also underway for a TV spin-off series entitled, Med School Musical: Attending Life.
